Powered by the proven Mercedes-Benz OM460 12.8-litre EURO-III engine producing 360 HP and 1,800 Nm of torque, this permanent 4x4 Arocs combines Mercedes PowerShift 3 with a heavy-duty all-wheel-drive chassis and specialised 20ft container carrier body.

The container platform has been engineered by Schaften Automotive to securely accommodate standard 20ft containers using dedicated container locking points and a robust chassis-mounted support structure. A 10-ton Dragon Winch installed at the front further increases operational versatility. This Arocs is available for worldwide export.

Remote transport operations often require equipment that can perform far beyond conventional road conditions.

The Mercedes-Benz Arocs 1836 AK combines a permanent 4x4 drivetrain with a purpose-built container carrier platform designed around the dimensions of a standard 20 ft ISO container.

The body has been constructed by Schaften Automotive using a heavy-duty steel support structure integrated with the truck chassis. Dedicated twistlock positions secure the container at its corner castings, creating a stable connection between vehicle and load while still allowing the container to be removed when operational requirements change.

This makes the truck particularly useful for operations where containers are used as mobile workshops, equipment stores, technical units, command centres, mobile hospitals or general cargo modules.

The body has been developed in-house by Schaften Automotive with durability, simplicity and practical field operation in mind. The structure is designed to distribute the container weight across the chassis while providing a robust mounting foundation for repeated commercial use. The integrated twistlock layout allows a standard 20 ft container to be positioned and secured directly onto the carrier platform. This creates a versatile vehicle that can work with different containerised solutions without permanently dedicating the chassis to one application. We even added a modified stair for easy entering the container if needed.
