CORMAK JDSA

The CORMAK JDSA is a portable battery-powered strapping tool designed for securing parcels, cartons, bundled packages, and palletized loads. The device is compatible with polypropylene (PP) and polyester (PET) straps with widths from 13 to 16 mm and thicknesses from 0.4 to 1.2 mm.

The JDSA is a handheld battery-operated strapping machine positioned directly onto the strap by the operator. The device automatically tensions the strap, joins the ends using friction welding technology, and cuts off the excess material. The strapping process does not require any additional metal or plastic buckles.

The cordless battery-powered design allows unrestricted movement between packaged products and eliminates the need for a fixed workstation. The ergonomically designed handle provides a secure grip and improves operator control during repeated strapping cycles.

The PP and PET strap tool is suitable for both individual shipment preparation and high-volume packaging operations where goods must be secured for storage and transportation.

Adjustable Strap Tension

The adjustable tension range of 900–3,200 N allows the operator to adapt the strapping force to the type of product being secured. The unit combines three functions in one device:

Strap tensioning
Friction welding
Automatic strap cutting

Properly selected tension helps stabilize loads and reduces product movement during handling, storage, and transportation.

PP and PET Strap Compatibility

The CORMAK JDSA works with both PP and PET straps, allowing the user to select the appropriate material depending on package type, load weight, and required securing strength.

PP straps are mainly suitable for lighter parcels, cartons, and bundled packages.
PET straps are recommended for heavier loads requiring increased tensile strength.

Only straps with dimensions matching the machine specification should be used.

Strap Tensioning and Friction Welding

The adjustable tensioning speed of 100–200 mm/s improves efficiency when securing multiple packages and loads.

After reaching the required tension, the operator activates the friction welding process. The strap ends are permanently joined, and the excess strap is automatically cut off.

The approximate welding time is 2–5 seconds and may vary depending on machine settings and strap type. The process does not require additional metal or plastic seals.

A fully charged battery requires approximately 90 minutes. The cordless design makes it easier to secure large products and pallet loads that would be difficult to move to a fixed packaging station.
