The machine is in exceptionally good condition and has only been used for the highly precise finishing of large bearings for offshore wind turbines. The machining process included grinding the inner and outer diameters, as well as the highly precise raceways of the rolling bearings. The machining results achieved demonstrate the machine's outstanding performance. Inner and outer diameters with a workpiece diameter of up to 4,000 mm were ground within a tolerance of ±20 µm. A profile accuracy of 2–3 µm was achieved for the raceways.
