This coordinate drilling machine has the rare option of motorized table drive in the X and Y axes, and potentiometers. This eliminates the tedious process of manually positioning each coordinate over a longer distance using hand cranks. Furthermore, it features rare thermal stabilization and expansion compensation. Two heaters are provided for this purpose, which can and must be switched on separately before starting work to maintain high accuracy and dimensions. This explains the factory-specified high positioning accuracy of 0.002 mm with a resolution of 0.001 mm.

What makes this unit unique is that the Hauser has two Heidenhain digital displays with a total of 4 glass scales with 1My resolution, also for the quill feed.
