For filling, the bottles are first lifted via a hydraulically controlled bottle carrier and pressed against the sealing cone on the filling valve. The valve sleeve moves as far as it will go in the valve body, opening the product outlet. The air inside the bottles is discharged through an air tube, creating a vacuum in the bottle equivalent to the vacuum above the product level in the container. The product flows into the bottles by gravity until the fill level reaches the air tube. The bottle is then lowered and the product outlet is closed.
