In a single process step, the slow-rotating shredding blades grind the plastic waste, and the shredded material is continuously transferred to the extruder via the feed screw. Large, thick, or bulky waste can be processed directly, as long as it fits into the hopper, without requiring a shredding process. The control system ensures the smooth start-up of the equipment components. After an unexpected stop, it can be restarted in less than two minutes with a full hopper and a full extruder. The material level in the hopper is continuously measured, and the feed is adjusted accordingly. Uneven filling of the conveyor is possible – the NGR control unit takes care of the rest.
